When I recently stayed a few nights at Mandalay Bay at the start of a 12 night trip where I stayed across several properties, I didn't even bother to gamble a penny at MB, and just did all my gambling during that part of my trip at South Point. While it's a place largely focussed on locals, I also find that they do a very reasonable job of looking after regular visitors to Vegas like myself. And as a business, they earn that repeat custom fair and square. That's probably why the place is always crowded. They have a large facility, plenty of free parking, loads of good value food outlets, an excellent sports book, poker area and slot machine selection, and the rooms are always fairly priced. What you see is what you get at South Point, and it's hard not to like their good value, non-pretentious vibe, and fair offerings. Lots of shopping near by, more comfortable and reasonable pricing too. Far enough away from the lights of Las Vegas strip, close enough to Uber for $20 or so. Resort offered so much! We didn't get to experience the Spa, but it sounded amazing. Pool was average, nothing to brag about, but seemed clean and tidy. Depending on when you go, at some times it could be very busy at any of the restaurants. Buffet offers many kinds of foods, even for the fussy. Resort charges a small daily fee for Wifi and some amenities. Large bathroom, plenty of closet space and a fridge you can use without fees. VERY clean and inviting! Beds were amazingly comfortable, pillows too.

Upon entry, the room was bigger than expected. Resort has plenty to offer all ages, although I don't like seeing babies in strollers in the casino part. Visited several times, never spent the night.
